We posted a bunch of pictures of our NYC vacation on Facebook.  Here are a few extra:

The girls were excited to get a visit from their cousin Jake who is in Army training at nearby Fort Campbell.  While he was here, we took the opportunity to explore the "Falls of the Ohio".  I'm not sure why it is called that...we didn't see any falls.  But the exposed riverbed was littered with fossils, and there were cool rock formations.  The beautiful fall day made for many good photo opportunities.

First Middle School Dance of the school year.  Amy's been to a few...first one for Syd.  Both had a blast.  Not as much fun for John and Christy who naively volunteered to chaperone the dance.

Spent the afternoon and evening at the KY State Fair.  Once again, joined by Amy's friend, Hope, and Sydney's friend Molly.  Fun time...weather was bearable this year!

Took some pictures on the Indiana side of the Ohio River tonight.  Just fooling around.  I wanted to get a decent picture of the Louisville downtown skyline, but the hazy conditions made for crummy images.
